David James Elliott stars as Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr., an outstanding Navy lawyer and officer in the Navy's Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.  On the show, his character is paired with that of the extremely talented Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (Catherine Bell). 
David was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 21, 1960.  Initially he had an interest in music and therefore took up in a rock band when he  was about 19 years old.  Not to long after, it was brought  to his attention in school after doing some play work, that he had a nack for acting.  This of course led him to take his first steps towards acting and was accepted to Ryerson Polytechnic Institute in the early eighties (1983).  Shortly after he worked at the Stratford Festival in Ontario.

His other t.v. credits include "Fly By Night", "Street Legal", "Melrose Place", "Seinfeld", "Doogie Howser M.D.", "The Hitchhiker", "China Beach", "Dark Justice", "Knots Landing", and "The Untouchables".  David's feature film credits include "Clockwatchers",  "The Shrink Is In", and CBS' made for TV movie, "Dodson's Journey."

David currently lives with his wife, 10-year-old daughter, and infant son in Los Angeles.

Catherine Bell stars as Lt. Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie, a very intelligent and beautiful Marine Corps attorney in the Navy's Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.  There she investigates, prosecutes and defends military cases with her partner Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr. (David James Elliott).

Catherine Bell was born in London, England on August 14, 1968.  Later she and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was three.  She attended the University of California, studying with the intentions to become either a doctor or biochemical engineer.  Catherine also started to model during this time, which took her overseas as her career took off, pulling her away from her studies.  Later Catherine would pursue acting as her new career.

She first made an appearance on JAG's first season as a Navy lieutenant, who was murdered and also Harm's girlfriend.  The producer of the show, Donald Bellisario liked Catherine's performance so much that he casted her as the female lead for the second season. 

Catherine's other t.v. credits include guest roles on "Friends", "Hercules", "Misery Loves Company", and "Dream On".  Her film credits include "Men of War", "Death Becomes Her", "Bruce Almighty", and the CBS made for T.V. movie "Cab to Canada", as well as the TBS movie "The Time Shifters".

Catherine speaks Farsi as shown on JAG, and enjoys hiking, kick boxing, skydiving and painting.  She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Adam, their daughter and their two Italian greyhounds.
